Terms & Conditions, Policies and Customer Information
At Wedding Fitters, we take pride in creating bespoke, made-to-measure wedding dresses, offering alterations, professional cleaning services, and carefully curated bridal collections. By booking an appointment, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Consultations & Appointments
We strongly recommend booking a consultation before ordering a bespoke dress or arranging alterations. This enables us to take accurate measurements and discuss design preferences, fabrics, colours, and finishing details.
A non-refundable booking fee of £15 is required to secure a consultation appointment.
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without providing reasonable notice may result in a £15 missed appointment fee.
Wedding Fitters reserves the right to reschedule appointments where circumstances beyond our control arise.
2. Bespoke Orders & Customer Measurements
Customers placing orders online without attending a consultation do so at their own discretion.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all measurements, sizing information, and personal details provided are accurate. Wedding Fitters cannot accept responsibility for fit issues resulting from incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.
Colours may vary slightly due to:
-
Screen and device settings
-
Lighting conditions
-
Fabric dye batches
-
Natural variations in materials
Minor variations between displayed images and finished products do not constitute a fault.
3. Bespoke Dress Production & Timescales
Every bespoke dress is individually designed, cut, and handcrafted to order.
Estimated production times are:
-
Standard Service: approximately 8 weeks
-
Rush Service: approximately 5 weeks
-
Super Rush Service: approximately 3 weeks
Overall production times may range from 2–20 weeks depending on design complexity, customisation requirements, fabric availability, and seasonal demand.
Please note:
-
Production begins only once measurements, design specifications, and required deposits have been received.
-
Rush services are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
-
Complex embellishments, specialist fabrics, or design changes may extend production times.
-
Delivery times are separate from production times and depend on the courier and destination.
Customers with a specific event date should contact us before placing an order to confirm availability.
4. Alterations
Alteration services are carried out according to the measurements and instructions agreed during fittings.
Customers are responsible for attending all scheduled fittings and informing us of any significant weight fluctuations, pregnancy, or body changes that may affect fit.
Any additional alterations requested after collection, or alterations required due to changes in body measurements after fitting appointments, may be treated as a new alteration service and charged separately.
5. Wedding Dress Cleaning & Preservation
Customers using our cleaning services confirm that they have inspected their garment and are aware of any existing wear, damage, discolouration, or staining before cleaning commences.
Wedding Fitters will take all reasonable care during the cleaning process; however:
-
Stain removal cannot be guaranteed.
-
Certain stains, including but not limited to make-up, fake tan, red wine, grass, oil, mud, and similar substances, may not be completely removable.
-
Cleaning may reveal pre-existing damage, weakened fabric, or hidden marks that were not visible before treatment.
-
Cleaning times may be extended where additional stain treatment is required.
The cleaning service does not include repairs, alterations, or restoration work unless specifically agreed in writing.
Any repair work required will be quoted and charged separately.
6. Collection, Storage & Insurance
Customers are responsible for collecting their garments within the agreed collection period.
If a fully paid garment remains uncollected for more than one month, Wedding Fitters reserves the right to apply reasonable storage charges.
This may apply where weddings are postponed, cancelled, rescheduled, or collection is delayed for any customer-related reason.
Wedding Fitters' insurance cover applies only while garments remain in our possession.
Once a garment has been collected, delivered, or otherwise leaves our premises, responsibility for loss, theft, damage, or deterioration transfers to the customer.
Customers should inspect garments upon collection and notify us immediately of any concerns.
7. Photography & Design Protection
To protect our designs and business interests, photographs of bespoke dresses, design sketches, patterns, and unfinished garments may be restricted during production.
Wedding Fitters reserves the right to decline photography requests until at least 50% of the order value has been paid.
All design concepts, sketches, patterns, and intellectual property created by Wedding Fitters remain the property of Wedding Fitters unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Refunds, Returns & Exchanges – Bespoke Orders

-
Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer
-
Change of mind

Cancellation after production has commenced
